Helm is operated by Helm Intelligence Pty Ltd (ACN 699 310 211), an Australian company. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
We collect information you give us when you sign up and use Helm, including your name, business details, email address and payment details. When you connect Xero or your email, we receive the customers, bills, invoices and messages needed to provide the service.
We also collect basic usage information, such as log data and device details, to keep the platform running and secure.
We use your information to provide and support Helm, process billing, send service notices and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
AI features, such as reading receipts and drafting emails, process your business data to produce results for you. This processing runs in Australia.
Everything in Helm, including our AI, is stored and runs in Australia.
We share information only with service providers who help us run Helm (for example, hosting and payment processing), with integrations you choose to connect such as Xero, or where required by law.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep information for as long as your account is active and as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you. If you have a complaint, contact us first. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
